I have to share a secret with you all and let me tell you I was on the fence of sharing this EXQUISITE food item which I found this past summer.
CHESTNUT HONEY is my new food love…I was told to try it on top of ricotta..the moment I tasted it I tell you church bells went off in my head and I was doing the “tarantella.”
I purchased 15 jars to bring back to Toronto!!! The taste is so incredible that I anxiously await every Wednesday for my favorite “Fiorella” ricotta or ricotta di buffala to come in at the grocery store…when it doesn’t arrive, I am not a happy woman!!!
My favorite pairing is a crostini bread topped with ricotta, prosciutto, a slice of figs & a drizzle of Chestnut honey. The combination of salt, sweet & creamy texture is unbelievable!
